Hannu and his wife, Laura, have shared a journey in ministry that has taken them to four continents and hundreds of major cities. At GCMM’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, that journey was remembered with gratitude.

The years have not been without challenges, but along the way they have witnessed God’s remarkable miracles. After five decades, Hannu still speaks with the same passion for taking the Gospel wherever God calls.

Alongside that passion is Laura’s deep gratitude: this journey has not been made in their own strength, or alone. God has carried them, and faithful friends have stood alongside them through prayer and financial support.

For Laura, the celebration was also an opportunity to express deep gratitude to the friends who have supported the ministry through prayer and financial giving.

When God Opened an Unexpected Door

Among the unforgettable moments Hannu recalled was a breakthrough when the Soviet Union's state television channel opened its doors to the Gospel.

In just 30 days, more than one million letters poured in from viewers.

The response was a powerful confirmation that the Gospel was reaching hearts and that God was leading the ministry forward.

It remains a testimony to what God can accomplish, even when circumstances appear impossible.
