Middle East Media Ministry Opens the Door to Conversations About Jesus

GCMM’s Middle East ministry is preparing more than 1,000 new Christian teaching and evangelistic television programs this year. These programs bring the message of the Bible directly into people’s homes—but the ministry does not end when the program is over. The responses they generate can open the door to personal conversations about faith and Jesus.

In Egypt, those conversations are continuing long after the Mega City Media Campaign.

What Happens After the Program Ends?

Someone watches a Christian television program. Then what?

They may simply go on with their day. Or something they have heard may stay with them. A testimony may speak to their own situation. A question may arise that they want answered. They may become curious about Jesus—or find the courage to ask someone to pray with them.

That is why GCMM’s Middle East media ministry is about more than producing and broadcasting programs. It is also about being there when someone responds.

Viewers are given an opportunity to reach out, and trained follow-up teams are there to listen, answer questions, pray, and continue the conversation.

Sharing the Gospel in People’s Own Languages

Programs for the Middle East are produced in languages including Arabic, Farsi, Dari, and Pashto, while the ministry also reaches various language groups across North Africa.

Programs are broadcast daily through multiple satellite channels, bringing the Christian message directly into homes—including in regions where sharing the Gospel in person can be difficult.

Producing more than 1,000 new programs is a significant undertaking. Each program requires thoughtful preparation, clear Bible teaching, and content that speaks to the questions and realities of viewers’ lives.

The purpose is simple: to give people the opportunity to hear about Jesus in their own language and discover what the Gospel means for their lives.

In Egypt, the Conversations Continue

The Mega City Media Campaign in Egypt may have ended, but the ministry it began continues.

The follow-up team still receives thousands of messages from people seeking answers. Some are exploring the Christian faith for the first time. Others have already made a decision to follow Christ and are looking for encouragement as they grow in their faith.

They need people who are willing to walk alongside them—to listen, respond, answer questions, and help them take their next steps.

The Great Commission is not only about sharing the Gospel; it also calls us to make disciples and teach them. That is why the work that follows a campaign is such an important part of the mission.

The ministry in Egypt also extends to children. Through age-appropriate Bible stories and materials, children are being introduced to the message of Scripture in ways they can understand. This requires not only suitable resources but also dedicated workers and teachers who can encourage and guide them.

Your Support Helps Keep the Conversation Going

Media ministry makes it possible to reach people with the Gospel on a remarkable scale. But when someone responds, there needs to be someone on the other end of the conversation.

Your support helps make both possible—the production of new programs and the personal follow-up that comes afterward. It helps ensure that when someone reaches out with a question, asks for prayer, or wants to know more about Jesus, there is someone ready to respond.

Please pray for wisdom for those producing these programs and for strength for the follow-up teams, especially those who are quietly wrestling with questions of faith and wondering where to turn.

You can help make the next program possible—and help ensure that the conversation continues after it ends. The television program begins the connection, and personal follow-up carries it forward.

Thank you for your prayers and gifts in bringing the message of the Gospel to the people in the Middle East.
