My name is Saher. I am 42 years old, and I am from Iraq.
Two years ago, I came to faith in Christ through a friend and through my sister’s child, who regularly watched your TV programs. Over these past two years, by the goodness of the Lord, I have been able to leave my sins behind. God has freed me from the things that once held me captive, including drugs, alcohol, and other addictions. He has delivered me from nearly every kind of sin I can imagine.
During the first year after coming to know the Lord, I was in a constant struggle against sin. Even though the Spirit of God was working in my life, I still fell at times. But each time, I got up again. I could feel the Spirit of God in my heart, stopping me from returning to my former sinful lifestyle.
The Lord freed me from my addictions, and His presence was with me the entire time.
He thought that it was another political campaign with empty promises. I told him that we weren’t looking to make political or global changes. Their goal is for people, like you, to change. He admitted to me that he wanted to change, so I shared some stories from the book. After that conversation, he asked for his own copy of the book. I arranged for him to get one right away!
I am so grateful for this project. I am honoured to be able to serve my own people and give them hope… because most of us in Mongolia have none.”
